A RICS Home Survey is a professional review of the condition of a property. This includes a physical inspection of a property's interior and exterior as agreed and is carried out by an RICS qualified surveyor.

An RICS Valuation is considered a formal valuation report that can be used for official purposes, such as providing evidence to a bank of a property's value to secure a loan against the property. The report provides in depth market analysis, a breakdown of comparable evidence and takes into account any other factors that may affect value. The Valuation report provides an opinion of 'Open Market Value' as at the date of valuation.

RICS Home Survey - Level 2 Otherwise known as a 'Homebuyer Report' - Suitable assessment for most conventional properties in 'reasonable' condition. Typically required for properties built post 1900. RICS Home Survey - Level 3 Otherwise known as a 'Building Survey' - Suitable for properties where the structure of the property will need to be assessed. This report gives you more information about the structure and fabric of the property. Typically required for properties built pre 1900. Yes, We provide post inspection calls to help you get a better understanding of the report if you need it. We understand it can be stressful, we want you to feel comfortable and ensure you understand everything you read in the report. You will always speak directly to the surveyor who carried out the inspection.
